The 16th edition of International Film Festival Film by the Sea will take place 12-21 September 2014. The festival is held in the city of Vlissingen in the southwest of the Netherlands.
Throughout the year, Film by the Sea organises weekly screenings of quality films in CineCity.
You can feast on a range of arthouse and other special films (and of course, many literary adaptations). Screenings take place on Mondays in Terneuzen and Tuesdays in Vlissingen. For a complete programme, please have a look at the 'throughout the Year' schedule on the Dutch part of the site.

Traditionally, Film by the Sea will roll out the red carpet for a grand Opening Gala to commence the festivities. This year, the Opening Gala will be held on Friday 12 September, following the premiere of the Dutch film ‘Dorsvloer vol confetti’, the film adaptation of the namesake novel by Franca Treur.
