Film & Literature Competition

DioraphteThe most important programme within the festival is the Dioraphte Film and Literature Competition. With this official competition programme, Film by the Sea distinguishes itself from other film festivals in the Netherlands and Europe. Every year, twelve recent literary adaptations compete. A jury consisting of Dutch and Flemish writers, actors and directors hands out the Film by the Sea Award to the best new literary adaptation.
